We are proud to introduce a polycarbonate safety enclosure, now available on all Axiom CNC models!

For schools or shops that prefer the peace of mind of a physical enclosure, we have you covered (literally). Engineered for the maximum in safety while still maintaining full access to the machine for positioning and holding down projects as well as loading and unloading materials.

The safety enclosure has three access points, with bifold doors at the front and back of the machine and a counterweighted side door (which can be mounted either on the left or the right of the machine). This makes access a breeze. The Iconic and Pro Series machines feature safety relays so anytime a door is opened, the machine will go into a “pause” mode and the spindle will stop turning. The operator will simply close the door, hit reset on the handheld controller and machining will resume.

While the Laser Safety Scanner offers similar protection, one advantage of the enclosure is that it requires a smaller footprint for shops with limited floor space.

In addition, we have added a protective screen under the machine to protect the user from being able to access the Y axis ball screw. With this added feature, all access points to moving parts, pinch points and rotating tool have been eliminated. Yes, we thought of everything!

Enclosures are shipped separately from the machines and take about 1-2 hours to install.
